Been working all day on this piece on Genesis Breyer P-Orridge for The Believer, so only left the house to feed the cat colony. Not that these vignettes have to conform so literally to my original intentions. Sometimes I’m so literal. Anyway, forgive tonite’s cast-offs, these homey “vignettes” were shot before I conceived of the idea, but I’m a bit tired and about to watch Lily Taylor as Valerie Solanas in “I Shot Andy Warhol”. Kind of fitting since Gen’s survey at the Warhol Museum is the impetus for The Believer profile, and I happened to mention Valerie’s name in it only hours ago (forgetting I’d gotten the dvd from SVA weeks ago, ha).
(And I dedicate this post to the autistic boy from L.I.C. who went over a WEEK AGO. I can only imagine how terrified his family must be, just awful. NYC peeps, pls. share this photo!)
