vignettes of the nite XXXII: online dating and screen grab hell

So I get a message from some guy on OkCupid who’s the cruiser type, one pic up, minimal info., profile disappears the next day. I don’t really care, its their business, and I generally ignore any related correspondence. But tonite, to make a screen grab for my ongoing book (and to amuse myself), I typed in my honest response intending to capture then delete. I hit “send” by mistake! Whoops! I then felt compelled to follow up with something else, which caused quite the reaction. You can read how it all went down. CRACKED ME UP, so thought I’d share:)

(I changed his user name so you can’t look him up).

“Only one pic up, but so what? I have plenty of author photos. And I fit the bill–edgy, sexy, smart, super fit, etc etc. See me soon.”

“Prove what? I’m a real writer and talented as hell. I can prove the rest as well, but that can only happen in reality. Your prerogative. Um, yeah.”
